One blustery day WFFC club Chairman Mike O'Donnell decided a clear out was needed in his wardrobe and in thinking this he hit on a fantastic and easy way to make some money for the WFFC Building Fund.

Mike got all the club members to clear out their warbrobes and to ask all their relatives and firends to do the same thing too and bring their unwanted clothes, shoes, bags, towels, bedding, soft toys to the club on Thursday the 1st March at 7pm to meet with the man from Lothian Recycling who was going to give WFFC 70p per kilo of textiles.

Now some people couldn't make it on that date so Mike, generous body that he is, had people bring their donations to the club on an earlier night

and then he took them home and hid them in his garage from Mrs Mike.

Then on Thursday 1st March Mike brought down to the club the 30 bags he had collected and met up with all the other generous club donators and there was a grand weigh in.

Now I dont think the man from Lothian recycling had bargained on how much we love and support our club as he only brought a little van and poor Mike had to take home his bags, which had increased in number to 30, and sneak them back into his garage as Mrs Mike thought it was all gone and she could get into the garage!

Another day Mike and Lothian Recycling met up again and Mike finally got his garage back and WFFC raised £420 from 600kg of unwanted textiles.

If your friends and relatives also donated please pass on the thanks of the club committee and let them know how much we appreciate their help and support.

WELL DONE WFFC
